Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Meltdown and Spectre Migration Patches with March 2018 Android Security Updates

Here comes another round of updates for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge within this month of March 2018. Unlike any previous released, these updates deals the Meltdown Spectre and Migration Patches, while also bumping up the devices Android Security Patch level to March 1, 2018. Last month the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge received the  "BlueBorne" fix, the Bluetooth vulnerability security patches. This time around another round of updates hitting each devices that does not only bringing the monthly security updates, but it also includes "KRACK" exploit fix.  Whatever that is, it simply means as the Wi-FI vulnerability patches.

KRACK (Key Reinstallation Attack) is a severe replay attack on the Wi-Fi Protected Access protocol that secures Wi-Fi connections. It was discovered in 2016 by the Belgian researchers Mathy Vanhoef and Frank Piessens of the University of Leuven.
We discovered serious weaknesses in WPA2, a protocol that secures all modern protected Wi-Fi networks. An attacker within range of a victim can exploit these weaknesses using key reinstallation attacks (KRACKs). Concretely, attackers can use this novel attack technique to read information that was previously assumed to be safely encrypted. This can be abused to steal sensitive information such as credit card numbers, passwords, chat messages, emails, photos, and so on. The attack works against all modern protected Wi-Fi networks.

October 2017 Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Updates aka The Blueborne Fix
