Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are finally getting the official Android 7.0 Nougat updates. Few weeks earlier,  AT&T,  T-Mobile, and Sprint Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge has gotten its Android  7.0 Nougat updates. Now, its time for Verizon variants to receive the said Nougat goodies. Noting that Verizon was also part of the Galaxy Beta program and has released the Android Nougat beta way back in November, but for some undisclosed reasons the carrier has dropped its participation in December.  So this Nougat updates, has never been too much late for the Verizon  Galaxy S7 and S7 owners.

Anyways, for Verizon Galaxy S7 owners your device will receive the Nougat update dubbed as build version G930VVRU4BQA2. While for those who owns the Galaxy S7 edge will also bump to build version G935VVRU4BQA2.  Your device will receive the Nougat updates either it is running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow or on the Android Nougat beta.

  • Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update. This is a must and very important part to get rid of some issues if ever the software update being interrupted due to a power failure.

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu Key > Settings > About device > Software updates > Check for Updates.
  2. If your device finds a new software update, tap Download now. When complete, a screen will appear advising you that the new version of software is ready to be installed. Tap Install update.
  3. The device will power down and power back on. A screen will appear stating that the installation has been completed. Tap OK.
  4. You’ve successfully updated your Galaxy S7 Android OS to Nougat.
