AT&T Galaxy S7 and S7 edge April 2017 Security Patch Updates (G930AUCU4BQD4 - G935AUCU4BQD4)

AT&T is sending an update on Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G90A) and Galaxy S7 edge (SM-G935A) that brings the April 1, 2017 Android security patch level. The update also includes several fixes, such as Advanced Messaging, AT&T Messages Backup & Sync, Wi-Fi calling. While it also serve an additional improvements to Video Calling  and other various fixes and improvements to system related stuff.

The AT&T Galaxy S7  has bumped-up its current Android 7.0 Nougat OS to version G930AUCU4BQD4 from previous version G930AUCS4BQC2. While the Galaxy S7 edge also moved to version G935AUCU4BQD4 from G930AUCS4BQC2.

These update weighs at approximately from 135MB to 138MB in file size. The rolling out starts on May 10, 2017 and it will take into several days before it completely reaches AT&T Galaxy S7 and S7 edge users across the United States.

If the notification message hasn't popped out yet in your device, just simply maneuver into you device settings and hit the "Check Software Update" option.

How to update Galaxy S7 or a Galaxy S7 edge via Over-The-Air:

Ensure your device battery is fully recharged before starting the software update. This is a must and very important part to get rid of some issues if ever the software update being interrupted due to a power failure.
  1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu Key > Settings > About device > Software updates > Check for Updates.
  2. If your device finds a new software update, tap Download now. When complete, a screen will appear advising you that the new version of software is ready to be installed. Tap Install update.
  3. The device will power down and power back on. A screen will appear stating that the installation has been completed. Tap OK.
  4. You’ve successfully updated your Galaxy S7 and S7 edge Android OS.
